Nowadays huge activities are being implemented for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, to be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on August 4-8, 2025. In order to held the upcoming international event at high level, all branches of the national entities are pro-actively involved in the preparational process.
As is known, adoption of the Resolution entitled “Additional information on the modalities of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries” at the 63rd plenary session of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly on April 11 of the current year became another sign of the recognition by the world community of the initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan and their great significance in the international arena. The resolution was adopted by consensus and co-sponsored by 57 Member States, highlighting broad international support for Turkmenistan as host and the importance of addressing development challenges faced by landlocked developing countries.
Relevant instructions in this regard have been given, emphasizing importance and the need to take all necessary measures to hold this international forum, which will be one of the important events of the year, at a high organizational level. In the framework of the upcoming conference, it is also planned to hold various events of political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields.
Based on this, in order to welcome participants of the conference in accordance with the national traditions of hospitality and to assist conduct the events at a high level, students who are fluent in world languages are actively involved in this work. In this respect, a working group consisting of teaching staff of higher educational institutions was established and designated tasks were determined to achieve high level outcomes. Volunteers who are fluent in foreign languages have been selected as well. In this point, it is essential to highlight that alongside with discussions and thematic events, a special place will be attached to friendship concert and festival of national dishes. It is also planned to hold an international youth forum as part of the conference. Young correspondents of mass media will also work effectively to organize and widely disseminate it in the mass media. Currently, training sessions are being held for volunteers and translators on language proficiency, a training program for activities to be carried out in accordance with protocol rules, and a prepared plan for covering international events with young correspondents. During the training sessions, which young professionals learn the information they need from relevant specialists.
