Teachers of the Department of Roman and Germanic Languages and a trainee teacher of the Department of Foreign Literature of the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli took part in advanced training courses at the University for Foreigners in Perugia (Italy).
A two-week training course organised by the University of Perugia from 13 to 28 July, brought together Italian language teachers from different countries around the world.
During the educational meeting, teachers attended lectures and interactive classes conducted under the guidance of professors and leading specialists of the University of Perugia. Participants were introduced to modern methods and features of teaching Italian, as well as examples of the use of digital resources in the learning process.
To expand and deepen the knowledge of teachers, the curriculum included meaningful lessons on grammar, phonetics and lexicology. The specialists also received useful and valuable information in classes devoted to the cultural and linguistic features of Italian cities.
As the teachers noted, the study trip contributed greatly to the exchange of pedagogical experience and the development of scientific and educational ties between teachers of the Italian language from all over the world. The knowledge acquired at the University of Perugia will be actively applied in practice in the future, which will improve the methodology of teaching the Italian language and improve the process of teaching students.
The trip for Turkmen teachers was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the University for Foreigners in Perugia.
University for Foreigners in Perugia (Università per Stranieri di Perugia) is a comprehensive educational institution exclusively for foreign students, where you can get both higher education and become a student of Italian language courses and receive a certificate. The university is the oldest and most prestigious university in Italy, where they are engaged not only in teaching and research, but also in the wide promotion of the Italian language and culture.
There is active cooperation between Turkmen universities and the University of Perugia. Teachers and students from our country regularly participate in educational events held by the Italian higher school and aimed at improving knowledge, enriching professional experience and skills, and developing intercultural communication.
Let us recall that from June 28 to August 2, at the invitation of the University of Perugia, courses in Italian language and culture were attended by the students of the International University of Humanities and Development.
