Cotton growers of Ahal velayat have solemnly launched the cotton harvest season. In the International Year of Peace and Trust, the farmers of the etrap aim to gather 280 thousand tons of cotton from 135 thousand hectares of cultivated land.
On the occasion of the start of the harvest, a joyful and festive ceremony was held near the fields of the “Üzümli toprak” farmers association in Ak Bugday etrap. The celebration featured musical performances, colorful exhibitions, and entertaining shows.
In the stage performances prepared by cultural and art workers of the velayat, the Homeland, our prosperous era, and the honest labor of farmers were gloriously praised.
During the ceremony, respected elders, with the blessing of “Bismillah,” solemnly gave the symbolic start to the cotton harvest on the fertile fields. Afterwards, the festivities continued in Tejen etrap at the “Altyn asyr” cotton-processing enterprise, where the traditional “ak kerwen” ceremony took place.
