In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, large-scale transformations are being carried out in all spheres of independent and permanently neutral Turkmenistan. State policy of our country is aimed at ensuring the well-being of the people, strengthening democratic values, as well as the effective functioning of the highest representative bodies. At present, Halk Maslahaty is the supreme representative body operating in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and symbolizes our Motherland’s commitment to democratic principles. The main purpose of Halk Maslahaty is to resolve matters of state importance, strengthen the unity and well-being of the people, and contribute to the development of the state.
A meeting of Halk Maslahaty was held on September 19, 2025, at the “Maslahat Köşgi” in the capital city, chaired by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag. The forum convened on the eve of the 34th anniversary of our country's sacred Independence, was dedicated to discussing key issues aimed at ensuring the happy life of the people and further strengthening the country’s socio-economic development, included important issues aimed at ensuring a happy and prosperous life for our people and the further socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. This historic meeting outlined, Turkmenistan's priority positions aimed at strengthening global peace and security, sustainable development, and expanding cooperation in the transport and energy sectors.
During the meeting of Halk Maslahaty, it was noted that measures were planned to strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding in the International Year of Peace and Trust. In addition, it was announced that on December 12 a high-level forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust will be held.
