PROMISING AREAS OF REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP IN THE INTERESTS OF FRATERNAL COUNTRIES AND PEOPLES HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED

On August 5, 2025, an event dedicated to the preparation of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was held at the Congress Center of the Avaza National Tourist Zone under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Opening the Forum and welcoming the heads of state, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked everyone for accepting the invitation to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, and also expressed gratitude for participating in the current meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia.

As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, this Forum is a preparatory stage for the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which will be held in the capital of fraternal Uzbekistan, the city of Tashkent.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan gave the floor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as the head of state hosting the next Consultative Meeting in the fall of this year.

The President of the friendly state first of all warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and all the Turkmen people on holding the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in beautiful Avaza.

The Uzbek leader also thanked the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the initiative to organize the current meeting in preparation for the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which will be held in November of this year in Tashkent.

Then President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as the Chairman of the Consultative Meeting, informed about the joint work carried out in this format.

As the President of Uzbekistan noted, special attention is paid to events aimed at expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and promoting specific interaction programs.

By the end of the year, it is planned to hold an Interparliamentary Forum, meetings of the Ministers of Defense, Trade and Transport. Cultural and humanitarian events will also be of great importance.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the adoption of these consultative documents will help determine strategic directions of work in our region in the long term.

In conclusion of his speech, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the hospitality and high level of organization of today's Conference.

Then Hero-Arkadag, having warmly greeted the distinguished guests on behalf of the people of Turkmenistan, thanked everyone for accepting the invitation to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

In continuation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people especially emphasized that, by building relations on modern principles, we rely on a common civilized foundation, use centuries-old positive experience, thereby ensuring historical continuity, the revival of the role and place of states in the current geopolitical and economic realities.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that the current UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the decisions taken could be of great importance in the context of today's meeting and planning further joint actions.

This fully applies to the problems of ecology and climate, Hero-Arkadag continued, emphasizing that Turkmenistan firmly advocates for the unification of efforts and competencies of the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan in the face of the current serious environmental challenges, among which the most pressing are the shallowing of the Caspian Sea, desertification, the problem of saving the Aral Sea, melting glaciers, rational use of water resources, preservation of the natural landscape, unique flora and fauna.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty particularly emphasized the importance of strengthening multifaceted relations between fraternal peoples.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed confidence in the existence of enormous potential for cooperation in a wide range of areas for further joint activities.

In mid-November of this year, the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan will be held in Tashkent. I have no doubt that it will be held at a high substantive and organizational level, and will be marked by the most important decisions, said Hero-Arkadag, emphasizing that the current meeting is certainly an important stage in its preparation.

Having once again thanked for participation in today's meeting and readiness for constructive, creative joint work, the National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed confidence that the decisions that will be taken by the heads of state will strengthen the solid political and legal foundation of cooperation and will contribute to the implementation of practically significant programs and projects aimed at ensuring the well-being and prosperity of our countries and peoples.

At the end of the speech, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty announced the decision taken to award the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Order of Turkmenistan "Hyzmatdaşlygy ösdürmäge goşandy üçin" ("For contribution to the development of cooperation") and read out the corresponding Decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

Then a solemn ceremony of presenting the state award to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took place.

Addressing those present, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, first of all, expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the entire Turkmen people for awarding him with a high state award.

The Uzbek leader stressed that it was a great honor for him to accept this high award from the hands of Hero Arkadag during the UN Conference in Turkmenistan in the presence of his colleagues and official delegations.

Addressing the distinguished guests, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked them for their participation in today's event, for the constructive and businesslike attitude that ensured the effectiveness of the meeting, expressing confidence that the exchange of views will serve as a good basis for more productive regional cooperation in the future, and wished them success.

Following the ceremony, the heads of state proceeded to the venue of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
