CULTURAL HERITAGE – THE SPIRITUAL WEALTH OF THE NATION

Based on the scientific doctrine of our esteemed President, special attention is given at the state level to the in-depth study of our history, culture, art, native language and literature, to the protection of the national cultural heritage of our people, to spreading its profound meaning to the world, and to passing it on to future generations. All this serves as a solid foundation for improving the national system of science in line with global standards, raising the intellectual and educational level of society, and developing international cooperation.

Cultural heritage is a great bridge stretching from the past into the future. It unites the history, traditions, creativity, and spiritual wealth of the people, forming strong bonds between generations. Cultural heritage is not only a collection of art or ancient monuments, but also a vivid expression of our nation’s customs, philosophy of life, way of thinking, and creative potential.

Today, in the history of the Turkmen people, the rich and perfect heritage formed in all areas of culture is being studied and elevated to new heights. Folk creativity, musical art, works of literature and fine arts, cultural buildings, and, in general, all our spiritual and material values give powerful impetus to the progress of the era and the state. The values of culture, art, and literature create conditions for our nation to advance with great enthusiasm towards new heights of development.

The cultural heritage of every nation reflects its identity and its place in the world community. Ancient architectural monuments, archaeological findings, folklore, music and dance art, national traditions – all of these are an integral part of the spiritual wealth of a people. Preserving them is a sacred duty before history. Today, in many countries around the world, the protection of cultural heritage is considered an issue of great importance. Preserving national characteristics, historical and cultural roots, and transmitting them to new generations is important not only culturally, but also politically and economically. That is why international organizations such as UNESCO carry out large-scale activities to ensure the protection of cultural heritage.

Studying and preserving cultural heritage is of great significance for the spiritual development of future generations. It directs young people towards high moral values such as patriotism, love, creativity, and social responsibility. The continuity of cultural heritage is the guarantee of preserving the great history and national identity of the people.
