On November 10, countries around the world celebrate World Science Day for Peace and Development. Established in 2001 at the initiative of UNESCO, this day aims to widely promote the importance of ensuring global peace and sustainable development through science.
Science is the foundation of human development. The development of every society and every country is determined by the level of scientific advancement. Science allows people to understand nature, society, technological progress, and environmental problems, and to find solutions. Science is also particularly important in Turkmenistan. Due to the tireless efforts of our Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, all the conditions have been created in our country to achieve success in the scientific sphere. New ideas from young scientists, innovative projects, and international cooperation — all this contributes to elevating our country’s scientific system to the global level. Currently, Turkmen scientists actively collaborate with international scientific centers, institutes, and organizations. This collaboration expands the exchange of scientific information and attracts young people to science. The development of science contributes not only to economic development but also to the peaceful and sustainable development of society.
World Science Day for Peace and Development is a day to celebrate science, knowledge and creativity and to appreciate the work of scientists.
