The Mary stage of the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League kicked off with matches of the 14th round in the playing hall of the First Sports School in Mary.
As previously reported, six futsal clubs from Ashgabat, the Balkan, and the Ahal regions are vying for the title of Turkmenistan champion.
The central match of the 14th round pitted «Senagatbank» and former Turkmenistan champion «Denizchi», who are currently vying for a place in the top three.
The match began with attacks from the Turkmenbashy seaport team, who, with the score tied at 0-0, squandered three scoring opportunities. In one instance, Alisher Hudaybergenov failed to score into an empty net, hitting the goalkeeper while he was lying down, and in another, two «Denizchi» players tackled the same defender, but Tachmyrat Diniyev's shot missed the target.
In the 15th minute, after a throw-in, «Senagatbank» player Shatlyk Babayev decided to take a long-range shot, and the ball hit the post and flew into the goal.
In the second half, «Denizchi» made a strong effort to recover. Maksat Soltanov and Kirill Charyyev failed to score from advantageous positions. However, with two minutes remaining, Yakup Ovezov's men managed to avoid defeat when fifth-string goalkeeper Rehimberdi Halmammedov fired a precise shot into the near corner. He, too, found himself in a similar situation in the final minute and could have given «Denizchi» the win, but the goalposts saved the day.
After a 1-1 draw, the teams each earned one point. «Senagatbank» is third with 21 points, two ahead of «Denizchi». «Ahal» moved up to second with 22 points after defeating TCOR 4-1. Reigning champion «Kopetdag» leads the 2025 Turkmenistan Futsal Super League with 34 points after defeating «Migration» 4-2.
In the next, 15th round, the following teams will play: TCOR- «Denizchi», «Migration» - «Ahal», and «Senagatbank» - «Kopetdag».
