Since the time of our ancestor Oguz Khan, our turkmen people have preserved and developed their unity, cohesion and the principle of serving a single goal. These remarkable qualities and state undertaking allowed our people to gain sacred Independence in 1991, to revive the pillar of national statehood and establish good-neighborly relations with countries and peoples all over the world.
Permanent Neutrality of our state, recognised by the United Nations, has become a powerful impetus for new achievements in the domestic and foreign policy and international relations of our country. Today, our permanent Neutral state is developing diplomatic relations with more than 150 countries of the world and is a member of more than 50 reputable international organisations. This fact testifies to the broad recognition by the international community of the initiatives, proposals and diplomatic instruments put forward by Turkmenistan in the area of achieving peace and security in the global space.
On the initiative of Turkmenistan, the United Nations General Assembly, declared 2025 the “International Year of Peace and Trust.” This remarkable year also marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality.
Our people are united in supporting friendly interactions of our country with other nations, countries of the world and reputable international organizations. The unity, cohesion and solidarity of our people and our Independent, permanently Neutral state in every deed and every endeavour is a truth that clearly proves the bright future of our generations and their bright destiny.
