It is too much to describe the happiness that our sacred Independence and permanent Neutrality have brought to our united Turkmen society and people. This can be clearly seen when we look at the work that has been done to re-study, collect, and disseminate our historical and cultural heritage from a modern perspective.
Today, thanks to the initiatives of our Hero-Arkadag, the wise leadership of our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, our ancestral national values are being included in the UNESCO List of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage. At the 18th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which took place from December 5 to 9, 2023 in Kasane, Republic of Botswana, the Akhalteke equestrian art and horse decoration traditions were included in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Similarly, wonderful books such as “Ahal-Teke is our pride and glory”, “The swift step of a horse”, “A Horse – a Symbol of Faithfulness and Happiness” born from the brilliant talent of our Hero-Arkadag have widely introduced the world community to this eternal national value.
In our current wonderful period —era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, thanks to the tireless efforts of our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO is developing at a new stage. This in itself indicates that the future of our tangible and intangible cultural values, which are the wonders of the Turkmen spiritual world from history to the present day, will be even more prosperous.
