PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY DISCUSSED AT A SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE IN ASHGABAT

A scientific-practical conference dedicated to pressing issues of the transformation of the digital economy was held at the venue of the International Scientific-Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

Scientists and specialists in the field of information security exchanged scientific knowledge and practical experience, discussing topics such as cybersecurity, electronic document management, the implementation of alternative energy sources using digital technologies, as well as the expansion of the use of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) and their integration into various sectors of the economy.

Ahmet Esenov, a specialist at the Laboratory of Information Security and Telecommunication Technologies, in his report spoke about Li-Fi (Light Fidelity), presenting it as a promising alternative to Wi-Fi.

Li-Fi is wireless data transmission using light. An LED bulb with a special chip converts information into binary code and sends it to a device with photodetectors. The high modulation frequency (above 60 Hz) makes this process invisible to the human eye. The main advantage of Li-Fi is an incredible data transmission speed.

Nikolay Nikolaev, senior staff member of the Geographic Information Systems Department, spoke about the application of spatial technologies on mobile devices. He noted their successful use in natural resource management, urban planning, and transportation logistics.

According to the specialist, the mobile GIS tool QField is used for professional work with spatial data in the field.

The discussion of these topics emphasizes the importance of a state strategy for digital development. The implementation of innovative projects and GIS technologies leads to the creation of a reliable and modern digital infrastructure, which contributes to sustainable economic growth of the country.
