The State Program "Bilim" is being successfully implemented in the Lebap velayat, covering such important areas as further modernization of the education sector, provision of knowledge in accordance with world standards, strengthening the material and technical base of the system, as well as the introduction of digital technologies.
This is evidenced by the programmatic implementation of work and the results achieved in solving the tasks set. Work is also successfully underway to achieve the goals arising from the Law of Turkmenistan "On Education" and the "Concept for Improving the Methodology of Teaching General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028", including improving the quality and effectiveness of educational activities, improving the content and forms of training based on new technologies, providing methodological assistance to teachers, etc.
Last academic year, the Main Education Department of Lebap In the velayat, there were 384 comprehensive secondary schools, 3 boarding schools and an Educational and Health Complex, where 337 thousand 93 students were educated and raised. Today, the velayat has 284 preschool institutions, where a total of 54 thousand 957 children are raised.
In the eastern region of the country, 21,364 graduates received certificates of general secondary education at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year. It is expected that more than 24,830 children will cross the entries of school for the first time in the new academic year. Computers have already been prepared for them as a gift from the President of Turkmenistan. There are also about 40 specialized schools in the velayat. Conducting classes in specialized subjects with the involvement of experienced teachers, the selection of talented children in these schools give positive results: students successfully perform in national and international Olympiads, scientific and creative, project competitions.
In the Lebap velayat comprehensive work is carried out to organize the learning process in the new academic year. In all secondary schools, as well as in preschool institutions, repair work was completed by the beginning of August. Thus, the educational institutions of the region are fully prepared for the new 2025-2026 academic year.
In the Charjev etrap, on the eve of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, preparations are underway for the grand opening of a new comprehensive secondary school equipped with modern equipment. The events and large-scale work carried out indicate that the first day of the new school year will be an unforgettable holiday for the young generation.
