Soňky habarlar:

OUR NATIONAL ART — A SHARED HERITAGE OF HUMANITY

The national culture of the Turkmen people, shaped over centuries and now an integral part of humanity’s cultural heritage, captivates with its unique beauty and authenticity. The rapidly developing cultural system has become a powerful unifying force — a bridge that brings hearts and minds together.

Today, exquisite carpets, textiles, Akhal-Teke horses, jewellery, music and beautiful dances of the Turkmen people are widely known across the world. We take pride in the fact that our culture has gained international recognition and is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Among these cultural treasures is the national art of singing and dancing “Küşdepdi”, which was unanimously included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage on 7 December 2017 in Jeju City (Republic of Korea), during the 12th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The music, lyrics, and every movement of this dance reflect our people’s deep love for the Motherland and the beauty of its nature. Its expressive dance language, melodious voice and rhythmic music leave no one indifferent. The dancers, dressed in national costumes and performing this graceful art, remind us of the surging waves of the Caspian Sea and the birds freely soaring through our peaceful sky. We are proud that this dance, which connects the past with the future, remains cherished by all generations and continues to hold its value among the youth.
